Hiking suggestions around the gorge

UNESCO Sycamore Maple Trail

More than 600 often ancient and gnarled sycamores stand on the alpine pastures of the Reichenbach valley. On the sycamore maple trail you will learn and discover more about these fascinating trees, their biotic communities and histories.

Circuit Engelhorn hut

Ascent through the gorge, at the exit of the gorge we follow directly the hut path. At the foot of the imposing Engelhörner we hike towards Engelhornhütte (1h 45 min). After a refreshment in the hut we climb via Gross Reichenbachalp to Gschwandtenmaad and back to Rosenlaui (1h 35 min).
